Death of hospital patient who tested positive for Covid confirmed – Devon Live

The most recent Government data shows another patient who tested positive for coronavirus has died in Devon.

According to NHS England, an individual died yesterday (Sunday, November 8) at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, bringing the total number of people who have died there – after testing positive for Covid-19 – since the start of the pandemic to 51.

In the South West region, there have been four new deaths recorded today, including the one in Exeter.

Across England, there have been 167 new deaths recorded today, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths in hospitals in England to 34,663.

A full statement from the NHS says: “A further 167 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 34,663.

“Patients were aged between 23 and 97 years old. All except five (aged 49 to 77 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

“Date of death ranges from 1 to 8 November 2020.

“Their families have been informed.”
