I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! hosts Ant & Dec took part in their first ever Bushtucker Trial in last night’s (November 8) compilation special, and it was well worth the wait.

One of the most fun moments from the Geordie duo’s three tasks was the classic eating challenge, and it all got a bit much for Ant McPartlin, especially when he was presented with a vomit-inducing smoothie.

He decided that the best course of action was to sack their manager Ali Astall, who is also Dec’s wife.

“What’s funny is that Dec’s wife is our manager, so she signed all of this off,” Ant explained, adding: “Your wife is so sacked!”

Later on, as Ant looked at his disgusting cocktail, he made another reference to sacking Ali, with Dec jokingly agreeing, stating: “She’s gone.”

Although Ant & Dec’s Bushtucker Trial took place in the jungle, this year’s series of I’m a Celebrity is taking place in a castle in Wales (which means it’s not affected by England’s current national lockdown).

Following the announcement of this year’s cast, however, it was revealed that one of the stars has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), and they will have to isolate. It’s currently unknown whether they will appear when the series launches.

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! begins its 2020 series on Sunday, November 15 at 9pm on ITV.
