More than 200 children have been sent home from three year groups at Lethbridge Primary School after three positive Covid-19 cases.
One member of staff and two pupils tested positive meaning that three year groups had been affected by the results, Swindon Borough Council confirmed.
A total of 208 pupils were identified as possible contacts and were sent home to self-isolate for 14 days.
Acouncil spokesman said: “The council’s public health team is supporting staff at Lethbridge Primary School after one member of staff and two of its pupils tested positive for COVID-19.
“The school is following government guidance, including providing staff and pupils with advice on social distancing and hygiene to limit the spread of the virus.
“Although the necessary safety procedures are in place, Lethbridge is a large primary school and three year groups have been affected.”
