CBSLA reported that smoke was visible from the home’s second story.

Flames were not visible by air outside of the massive home nestled in the hillside above Hollywood, according to the TV station.

The station also reported that crews were using thermal imaging cameras to try and detect fires that might be in the walls of the home.

‘The investigation is largely focused on one of several furnaces in the home that may have been recently serviced,’ an official with the Los Angeles Fire Department said Wednesday.

Last month, Denzel’s son John David Washington said that he had moved back in with his famous dad Denzel and mom Paulette, 70, as the COVID-19 pandemic spread.

Speaking with Samuel L. Jackson (who was guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live), John David said he set up shop in his ‘old room’ during the temporary stay, as he has a home in Brooklyn.
