A new statement on coronavirus, lockdown, financial support, testing and the vaccine is to be made from Downing Street this afternoon.
The last address was held on Monday when Boris Johnson spoke to the nation days after the start of the second lockdown in England.
This afternoon, business secretary Alok Sharma will lead the briefing.
No 10 has said Mr Sharma and NHS England medical director Professor Stephen Powis will lead the press conference.
The briefings were held daily through the first lockdown, and are now being held twice a week – updating the public on the latest Covid figures and breaking news.
Meanwhile, a further 317 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 35,640, NHS England said today.
Patients were aged between 33 and 98. All except nine, aged between 48 and 81, had known underlying health conditions.
The deaths were between October 10 and November 11.
Fourteen other deaths were reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
The briefing is to be held from 5pm.
