New Covid-19 death reported at Royal Cornwall Hospital – Cornwall Live

Another person has died in Cornwall after testing positive for coronavirus.

The death was recorded at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro on Sunday, November 8, but it has only been reported in the figures from NHS England today (November 13).

It takes the total number of hospital deaths in Cornwall up to 95 – 69 at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust and still 26 at the Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust.

Latest figures from the Office for National Statistics, which cover deaths in all settings, show that up to October 30 there had been 213 Covid-19 related deaths in Cornwall.

A statement from NHS England says: “A further 246 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 35,886.

“Patients were aged between 26 and 100-years-old. All except five (aged between 69 and 89) had known underlying health conditions.

“Date of death ranges from 18 October to 12 November with the majority being on or after 8 November.

“Their families have been informed.”

The number of deaths of patients with Covid-19 by region are as follows:

East of England – 15

London – 16

Midlands – 64

North East & Yorkshire – 53

North West – 54

South East – 31

South West – 13
