Motsi Mabuse is currently quarantining after having to “urgently” fly home to Germany.

As a result, she will not be stepping into the Strictly Come Dancing studio for at least 14-days until her quarantine period – put in place amid the coronavirus pandemic – is over.

And now the judge, 39, has revealed the heartbreaking reason why she had to hop on a plane.

Taking to Instagram on Friday dancing guru Motsi told that she returned to Germany after someone tried to break into her dance school and said that she is working with German police to “solve” the crime.

Alongside a snap of a broken glass door, she wrote: “Unfortunately we have no good news. Someone tried to break into our school @motsimabuse_taunustanzschule.

“We are working with the police to solve this crime. We know we have been targeted on purpose and we will improve security in our school that this will not happen again.”

Motsi – who is understood to have flown back to the UK on Thursday – shared on Twitter yesterday to share that she was not going to be on Strictly for a while.

She typed: “Hi Guys – Earlier this week I needed to travel to Germany for an urgent reason.

“I will of course be following the UK Government guidelines and self-isolating for 14 days. I’ll be watching from home and by the power of technology, should be in your living rooms.

“Watch out though, I’ll be doing my own hair and make-up!”

A spokesman told Mirror Online: “Motsi had to make an essential journey and will now be isolating for 14 days as per government guidelines.

“We look forward to welcoming her back to the Strictly studio in a few weeks.”

On Friday it was confirmed that Anton du Beke will be stepping in for Motsi on the judging panel.
