I’m A Celebrity fans have hit out at the ‘cruel’ public’ after Jordan North was left distraught at the prospect of having to do another trial.
Radio 1 DJ Jordan has been put through the mill already on the show and the new series is still less than a week old.
On Sunday’s launch show, millions of viewers saw the former Sunderland Uni student throw up after having to contend with his fear of heights to firstly, get in a helicopter to travel to north Wales and then abseil down a cliff.
Picking up on Jordan’s undeniable fear, ruthless viewers promptly voted for him to do a trial the first chance they got – with Jordan, 30, and co-star Shane Richie chosen to do the Viper Vault.
With Jordan scared of snakes and suffering from claustrophobia it proved to be a nightmare for him as he screamed his ‘happy place’ again and again in between frantically shouting instructions at Shane.
After being glued to the challenge, viewers weren’t done with Jordan, far from it, and he was then voted to do the first eating trial of 2020 – Frights of the Round Table – alongside Vernon Kay and Beverley Callard.
He got a reprieve from trial duty on Wednesday as new arrivals Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall took on Stage Fright but viewers clearly don’t want to let him off the hook as the minute they got the chance to see him suffer again they did exactly that.
As Ant and Dec revealed Jordan would be facing the next trial – Trapped Door – his face dropped and he had to be consoled by his campmates, with Bev telling him: “This is what’s going to make you a f***ing mega star.”
However, viewers are not feeling sorry for Jordan and concerned how he’ll take it if he keeps being chosen.
One tweeted: “Leave Jordan alone man,” and another posted: “That’s not fair picking Jordan to do the trials all the time.”
A third reacted: “Feel so sorry for Jordan now I proper wanted to see Mo do the eating trial the other night. Jordan looks so disheartened when he’s voted to do it,” but others are sick of Jordan being voted all the time for another reason.
One unimpressed viewer tweeted: “i’m getting sick of jordan doing trials, i want to see more of mo and jess or aj ??? come on public.”
Bookies are predicted there’s more misery ahead for Jordan. He was 5/1 to do the most trials before the show – but after his vomiting on the cliff and his snake pit panic attack, he is now odds on 8/15 favourite to be chosen for the lion’s share.
