Szoboszlai’s agent makes exit claim
The agent of reported Liverpool target Dominik Szoboszlai has admitted that the Red Bull Salzburg star could be on the move in the near future, while speaking to Digi Sport.
Having impressed in Red Bull Salzburg’s last Champions League outing against Bayern Munich, the 20-year-old scored a stunning last-gasp effort to secure Hungary’s place at Euro 2020 at Iceland’s expense last week.
The Reds are one of a number of sides said to be interested in his services, with the playmaker reportedly having a £23m release clause in his contract.
And his agent has admitted they’re eyeing up a move for his client.
“Obviously, it’s no secret that Dominik is now closer to leaving the Austrian league,” agent Matyas Esterhazy explained.
“We’re seeing that every time he has a good game, which fortunately is happening quite often, the rumours are getting stronger.
“Whether it’s in January or next summer, the most important thing is that he goes to a club where he will have a good chance of playing regularly and continuing the learning curve he started in Salzburg – that’s the most important thing for us.”
